Softball Game Preview: Bloomington North Cougars vs. Noblesville Millers

The Bloomington North Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Noblesville Millers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bloomington North has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 17.

Bloomington North managed to slip by Southport the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cougars lost 11-1 to the Cardinals on Wednesday. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bloomington North saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaydence Silvers, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Noblesville faced Brownsburg in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Millers fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 12-10. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Millers, who until this matchup were averaging 4.1 runs allowed.

Brookelyn Grayson and Addi Emmerson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Grayson got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Emmerson went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Haley Schatko was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Bloomington North's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Noblesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.
