Softball Recap: Dennis-Yarmouth Regional Takes a Loss

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-3 to the Sandwich Blue Knights. The defeat continues a trend for the Dolphins in their meetings with the Blue Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Azoff, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. Another was Brooke Chicoine, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Dennis-Yarmouth Regional's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Sandwich, their record is now 11-7.

Looking ahead, Dennis-Yarmouth Regional will face off against Monomoy at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sharks will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Dolphins surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sandwich, they will challenge Norwell at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
