Trumbull is 8-2 against Westhill since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will take on the Vikings at 5:30 p.m. Trumbull's pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so Westhill's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Trumbull had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Ludlowe on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Falcons a 7-0 shutout. Considering the Eagles have won ten games by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Westhill had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Wreckers.

Westhill's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Trumbull, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.

Trumbull got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2024 against Westhill by a conclusive 9-1 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
