Baseball Recap: Elk Lake Wins Going Away Against Tunkhannock

Elk Lake was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Tunkhannock on Monday. Elk Lake blew past Tunkhannock 11-0. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 6-1 victory the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Noah Gesford was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in doubles (two). Brayden Miller was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.

Elk Lake now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Tunkhannock, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Elk Lake and Tunkhannock will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. Elk Lake will challenge rival Blue Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Tunkhannock is set to face off against their familiar foe Wyoming Area at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
