Basketball Recap: Mulvane Takes a Loss

Mulvane lost against McPherson back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mulvane Wildcats were outmatched by the McPherson Bullpups and fell 74-36. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Bullpups are ranked 29th).

Mulvane has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. McPherson's victory bumped their record up to 16-4.

Coming up, Mulvane will head out to face off against Circle at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Circle's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matchups. As for McPherson, they will challenge Winfield at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Winfield knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully McPherson likes a good challenge.
