Softball Recap: Castle Comes Up Short

The Castle Knights didn't have quite enough to beat the Hamilton Southeastern Royals on Saturday and fell 4-2.

Castle saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mati Hughes, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Castle's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Hamilton Southeastern, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Castle will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Henderson County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamilton Southeastern, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. Vernon at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
