Scott strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over the Lakin Broncs. While the Beavers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Baylee Wolkensdorfer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on 11 hits.

On the hitting side, Peyton Gentry and Adalei Zeller did most of the damage at the plate: Gentry went 3-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Zeller went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave Zeller a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Crissa Irvin, who went 1-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Scott's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Lakin, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Coming up, Scott will take on Colby at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakin, they will head out to take on Elkhart at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
