Softball Recap: Rogers Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Rogers can now relate to. They fell just short of the Lauderdale County Tigers by a score of 9-8 on Tuesday. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 5-2.

Rogers has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-24 record this season. As for Lauderdale County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-17 record this season.

Rogers didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-0 victory against Colbert County on the 29th. Lauderdale County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
