Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Deerfield). Their defense stepped up to hand the Maine East Blue Demons a 9-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Deerfield, who have now won seven matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Maine East from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Leah Cohen led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Deerfield's win bumped their record up to 12-8-2. As for Maine East, they dropped their record down to 4-19 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road.
