Softball Recap: Cocke County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cocke County can now relate to. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Unicoi County Blue Devils on Friday. The Fighting Cocks haven't had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Cocke County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Niethammer, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Cocke County's loss dropped their record down to 29-6-1. As for Unicoi County, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Cocke County nor Unicoi County have any future games scheduled.
