Softball Recap: Belle Plaine Dragons vs. Kingman/Norwich Eagles
Belle Plaine was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-2 to the Kingman/Norwich Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-2 on Thursday.
Brooklyn Brines made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-2. She also hit two doubles, marking her first of the season.
Belle Plaine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Kingman/Norwich, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belle Plaine will challenge Wellington at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kingman/Norwich, they will take on Conway Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
