Basketball Game Preview: Helix Highlanders vs. Bishop's Knights

The Helix Highlanders will venture away from home to take on the Bishop's Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Helix is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Christian out 43-41. The win was all the more spectacular given the Highlanders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 521st, while the Patriots are ranked 150th).

Meanwhile, Bishop's earned a 59-49 victory over Westview on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Helix's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-17. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points over those games. As for Bishop's, their record now sits at 16-13.

Helix was taken down by Bishop's 66-34 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Helix avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
