Jackson entered their tilt with Lutheran on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Cougars a 9-0 shutout. The Fighting Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.

Nolan Adkisson and Nolan Bartels dominated on the mound. Adkisson struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk), while Bartels tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Those seven strikeouts gave Adkisson a new career-high.

At the plate, Dawson Eftink was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Noah Moore was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Jackson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive contests.

Jackson's record now sits at 12-1. As for Lutheran, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Jackson beat Lutheran by a score of 10-0 later that day.
