Cottage came into Tuesday's contest looking for another win against Howard, but Keegan Roberts wouldn't allow it. The Hawks blew past the Cougars 64-44 on Tuesday thanks in part to Roberts, who posted 25 points. The game was his sixth in a row with at least 20 points.

Despite the loss, Cottage still got an impressive performance from Maxwell Lagan, who almost dropped a double-double with 31 points and nine boards. That was a full 70.5% of the Cougars' points, marking the fifth time in a row Lagan has had more than a third of the team's points.

The victory got Howard back to even at 1-1. As for Cottage, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Howard won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against William & Reed Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Cottage, they are taking a road trip to square off against Oak Mountain Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
