Volleyball Recap: Pleasant Spartans vs. New Lexington Panthers

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Pleasant couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the New Lexington Panthers by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Spartans' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Pleasant started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 22-25, 25-19, 25-22, 15-11.

Kamryn Roberts and Macy Hamper certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Roberts had 35 digs and five assists, while Hamper had 22 assists and five digs. Roberts has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 25 times she's played. Siri Veladanda also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.
