Volleyball Recap: Crescent City Takes a Loss

The Crescent City Raiders didn't have quite enough to beat the Pine Ridge Panthers on Monday and fell 3-2. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Panthers 25-18 in the first set.

Crescent City actually scored more points across those five sets (104-102), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-22, 25-20, 19-25, 15-12.

Despite the loss, Crescent City saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Bethany Robinson had 22 digs. Robinson is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

Crescent City now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Pine Ridge, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Crescent City will head out to square off against Menendez at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pine Ridge, they will square off against Taylor at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
