Basketball Recap: Carney Comes Up Short

Carney had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 4-13 to make it four. They took a blow against the Riverfield Country Day Ravens, falling 63-24. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

As for Riverfield Country Day, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 16-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 66.3 points this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverfield Country Day to victory, but perhaps none more so than Scott Thompson, who went 6-for-14 on his way to 15 points and five steals. Thompson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Stone Loosvelt, who shot 45% from the field en route to 14 points and four steals.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Carney will venture away from home to face off against Strother at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Riverfield Country Day, they will head out to square off against Weleetka at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
