 River View is 1-9 against Mount View since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Monday. The River View Raiders will head out on the road to  square off against  the Mount View Golden Knights at 6:00  p.m. River View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9  runs per game  this season.
 Things were looking good for River View after they put the first points on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They lost  12-2 to James Monroe. Having soared to a lofty 15  runs in the game before, River View couldn't push the score so high this time.
 River View saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Gabe Lester, who  went 3-for-3 with a  stolen base. Lester is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last six games he's  played.
 Meanwhile, Mount View has not done well against Greater Beckley Christian recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. Mount View narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past Greater Beckley Christian  7-5.
  Hunter Muncy was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out 13 batters over  six innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   four  hits. Muncy was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  David Little was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Blake Wright, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 River View's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Mount View, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five games,  which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record  this season.
 The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. River View has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 9.9  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mount View struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 6.9. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 River View took their  victory against Mount View  when the teams last played  on Wednesday by a conclusive  15-8. Will River View repeat their success,  or does  Mount View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
