St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They blew past the Serra Cavaliers 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 two weeks ago.

While St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 26-24, 25-15.

St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Serra, Verbum Dei Jesuit, and Mary Star of the Sea. As for the Cavaliers, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Mary Star of the Sea at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Serra will take on rival Verbum Dei Jesuit at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
