Basketball Recap: Germantown Academy Takes a Loss

The Germantown Academy Patriots lost 74-48 to the Archbishop Carroll Lions on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 153rd in Pennsylvania, while the Lions are ranked 18th in District of Columbia).

Germantown Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Archbishop Carroll, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Germantown Academy will challenge Samuel Fels at 1:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Archbishop Carroll and Concordia Prep will round out the year against one another at at 8:45 p.m. on Monday.
