Basketball Recap: Harlem Takes a Loss

Harlem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a hard 46-29 fall against the Lincoln County Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-39 back in December of 2024.

Lincoln County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Syriah Hogan, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Hogan has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last 13 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Janiah Norman, who posted 17 points along with five boards and five steals.

Harlem's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Lincoln County, their record now sits at 11-9.

Harlem does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lincoln County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-42 victory against Greene County on the 8th.
