After a string of seven wins, Alpine's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to the Presidio Blue Devils 51-47. The Bucks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Devils earlier this season, when they won 47-32.

Despite the defeat, Alpine saw an underclassman step up: freshman Gyllian Morrissey posted 15 points and five steals. Morrissey has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andynne Ramirez, who put up ten points and four steals.

Even though they lost, Alpine smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Alpine's loss dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Presidio, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-8.

Alpine has already played their next match (against Anthony), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Presidio has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Kermit.
