Volleyball Recap: Grandview Comes Up Short

Grandview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Crystal City Hornets, falling 3-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 10, 2020, but that streak is no more.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-14, 25-11.

Grandview's offense was headlined by Lacey Brown and Chloe Emerson, who picked up three kills apiece. Brown really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with five. Miriam Korosic controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Grandview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Crystal City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-9.

Grandview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Cuba on the 9th. As for Crystal City, they have also already played their next matchup, a 1-1 tie against Herculaneum on the 11th.
