Basketball Recap: Simla Extends Road Winning Streak to 14

Simla had won 13 straight road games dating back to last season and Tatum Kocerha did his part to make it 14 on Tuesday. The Simla Cubs really took it to the Kiowa Indians for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-14 win thanks in part to Kocerha, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. The contest was his ninth in a row with at least ten points.

Evan Guy was another key player, putting up 12 points. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Simla has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season. As for Kiowa, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Simla has already played their next game (against Salida), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Kiowa will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Elbert at 6:00 p.m. Elbert will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Kiowa surely won't give up without a fight.
