Softball Game Preview: Montclair Cavaliers vs. Ontario Jaguars

For the second straight game, Montclair will face off against Ontario. The Cavaliers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jaguars at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Montclair is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Montclair lost 8-2 to Ontario on Wednesday.

For Ontario's part, the team relied heavily on Aileen Aguayo, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Aguayo a new career-high in RBI (two). Gisselle Lemus was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

The victory snapped Ontario's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-10 record. As for Montclair, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.

Friday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Montclair hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .340.
