Baseball Game Preview: Jefferson Democrats vs. Eagle Rock Eagles

The Jefferson Democrats will face off against the Eagle Rock Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Jefferson has four straight victories, Eagle Rock has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Jefferson proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Los Angeles 8-6.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Eagle Rock's offense. They lost 12-0 to Marshall on Thursday.

Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Eagle Rock, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Jefferson has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Eagle Rock struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.8 strikeouts.
