Recap: Sunlake Seahawks vs. Steinbrenner Warriors

Make it eight blowout wins for the Sunlake Seahawks this season. They blew past Steinbrenner 73-49. The score was close at the half, but Sunlake pulled away in the second half with 41 points.

Sunlake can attribute much of their success to Nelson Marshall, who scored 26 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Marshall pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Manntavius Goodman, who scored 14 points.

The victory was the third in a row for Sunlake, bringing their record for this year to 13-7. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.33 points. As for Steinbrenner, they are on a 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Sunlake and North Tampa Christian Academy will face off at 6:30 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. North Tampa Christian Academy is on a seven-game streak of home wins, Sunlake a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Steinbrenner will take on Newsome at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
