Softball Recap: Sheldon Comes Up Short

Sheldon lost to Whitney back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Huskies fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 4-2.

Sheldon saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sinitalela Heleta, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. Ella Crotzer also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Sheldon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Whitney, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Sheldon and Whitney should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Huskies (ranked 116th) will meet Monterey Trail (ranked 531st) at 4:00 p.m. on the 25th. Meanwhile, Whitney will take on Davis Sr. at 4:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (37 vs. 312).
