Football Recap: Opp's Punishing Run Game Keeps Rolling + How To Watch

After losing to Holmes County the last time they met, Opp decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Bobcats had just enough and edged out the Blue Devils 22-20. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bobcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 114th in Alabama, while the Blue Devils are ranked 319th in Florida).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Opp to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matthew Morgan, who rushed for 127 yards and one score while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.

Morgan was just one part of a punishing run game: Opp was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 206 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 197 rushing yards in nine consecutive contests.

Opp's record now sits at 9-1. As for Holmes County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Opp will face off against W.S. Neal at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Holmes County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
