Preview: Lakeside vs. Parkview
If the MaxPreps national rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Parkview. On Friday they take on Lakeside at 7:30 PM. Parkview are cruising in on a five-game winning streak while Lakeside are stumbling in off of five consecutive losses.
Parkview got themselves on the board against Norcross last Friday, but Norcross never followed suit. Parkview put the hurt on Norcross with a sharp 28-0 win. Sophomore Cody Brown and senior Malik Washington were among the main playmakers for Parkview as the former rushed for 123 yards and 1 touchdown and the latter caught passes for 119 yards and punched in 1 rushing TD. Brown has been a consistent playmaker for Parkview as this was the 5th good game in a row from him.
Meanwhile, Lakeside took a serious blow against Central Gwinnett, falling 7-59.
Everything went Parkview's way against Lakeside the last time the two teams met as they made off with a 52-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Parkview since the team won't have home-field advantage. Watch the game and check back on MaxPreps to see if the change in venue makes a difference.
