Basketball Recap: Pawhuska Falls Despite Big Games from Dax Godsey and Darien West

Pawhuska lost against Morrison back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pawhuska Huskies lost to the Morrison Wildcats on the road by a 61-44 margin. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Pawhuska had strong showings from Darien West, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points, and Dax Godsey, who posted seven points and five assists. That's the most assists Godsey has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Sweeden, who put up six points.

Pawhuska's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Morrison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pawhuska will face off against Newkirk at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Morrison, they will venture away from home to take on Pawnee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
