Baseball Recap: Zion Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Zion Christian Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Franklin Christian Academy on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 4-3. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

J.T. Fox made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Austin Surratt, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Zion Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 4-6. As for Franklin Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Zion Christian Academy will be playing at home against Christian Community at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin Christian Academy, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Franklin Christian Academy Falcons take on Hampshire Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
