Basketball Recap: Rusk Triumphs

Rusk hadn't done well against Crockett recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Rusk Eagles came out on top against the Crockett Bulldogs by a score of 61-52. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in November, they had to take a 63-56 loss.

Rusk's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Crockett, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rusk will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Grace Community at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Crockett will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against Elkhart at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
