Episcopal won the last time they faced Madeira, and Princess Akojenu did her part to make sure it happened again. The Episcopal Maroon strolled past the Madeira Snails with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 48-31 thanks in part to Akojenu, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Genesis Villegas, who earned six points in addition to seven steals and five boards. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

The win got Episcopal back to even at 8-8. As for Madeira, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Episcopal wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 50-48 victory against Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart on the 6th. As for Madeira, they will venture away from home to challenge Seton at 5:30 p.m. on February 13th.
