Football Recap: Greeley Comes Up Short

Greeley has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 14.5 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They were outmatched by the Brewster Bears and fell 38-7. While losing is never fun, the Quakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Bears are ranked second).

Greeley's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-2. As for Brewster, the win keeps they at an undefeated 18-0.

Greeley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brewster, they will square off against Tappan Zee at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Bears are on a ten-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), the Dutchmen a seven-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
