It's playoff time, and Van Alstyne had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top against the Godley Wildcats by a score of 4-1 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won four matches in a row.

Van Alstyne's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carter Upton, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Van Alstyne's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-12. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Godley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 25-8-1 record this season.

Van Alstyne will take on Spring Hill on Saturday. Spring Hill will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something Van Alstyne surely won't give up without a fight. Godley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
