Basketball Recap: Watonga Comes Up Short

Watonga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 76-31 to the Southwest Covenant Patriots, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-31 last Wednesday.

Watonga's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Southwest Covenant, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Watonga didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-34 loss against Minco on the 13th. As for Southwest Covenant, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 47-42 win against Luther on the 13th.
