Basketball Recap: Menominee Indian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Menominee Indian had to endure a nine-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They snuck past the Wabeno/Laona Rebels with a 54-48 victory on Saturday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 397th, while the Rebels are ranked 185th).

Menominee Indian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Wabeno/Laona, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Menominee Indian will take on Gresham Community at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Menominee Indian is facing Gresham Community at the right time seeing as Gresham Community is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
