Nelson County has gone a perfect 3-0 against Prince Edward County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Governors are taking a road trip to square off against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Prince Edward County will be up against a hot Nelson County squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Governors never let Chatham get on the board and left with an 8-0 win on Friday. Given Nelson County's advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Chatham are ranked 241st) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Nelson County's offense was hitting Chatham from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Liam Winsheimer led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Prince Edward County's game on Monday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They were the clear victors by a 6-2 margin over Nottoway. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Prince Edward County.

Prince Edward County's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Nelson County, their win bumped their record up to 5-0-2.

Everything went Nelson County's way against Prince Edward County in their previous matchup on April 9th, as Nelson County made off with a 5-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Governors since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
