After a string of five wins, Fort Lupton's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Fort Morgan Mustangs by a score of 2-1. The Bluedevils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Fort Lupton sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 17-25, 15-8.

Kyleigh Taylor paced Fort Lupton's offense, picking up nine kills. Taylor got some help from Andrea Anguiano and her 11 assists. Anguiano was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Fort Lupton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Fort Morgan, their win bumped their record up to 3-8.

Fort Lupton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Jefferson Academy on the 27th. As for Fort Morgan, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Aspen on the 27th.
