Volleyball Recap: Wesclin's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Wesclin had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Benton Rangers. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Wesclin got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-16, 18-25, 17-15.

Their offense was headlined by Myla Friederich and Lexi Kruger, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Haiden Mueller and her 27 assists. Friederich was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Wesclin's win bumped their record up to 20-12. As for Benton, their loss dropped their record down to 18-9.

Wesclin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Chester on the 20th. As for Benton, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Vienna on the 20th.
