Basketball Recap: Jasper County Takes a Loss

On Saturday, the Jasper County Hurricanes were beaten by the Greenforest Eagles 61-34. The game marked the Hurricanes' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Greenforest got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Orion Wilson out in front who went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Daramola, who went 5 for 8 on his way to 12 points.

Jasper County's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-12. As for Greenforest, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jasper County has already played their next matchup (against McNair), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Greenforest will square off against Towers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
