Volleyball Recap: Episcopal Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Episcopal suffered their biggest loss since November 8, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against the Needville Bluejays, falling 3-0. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bluejays apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-19.

Needville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kelsey Chumchal out in front who had eight digs and four aces. That's the most digs Chumchal has posted over her last six games. The team also got some help courtesy of Mckenzi Griffin, who had 12 digs and two aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Episcopal and nudges their season record down to 5-8-1. As for Needville, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-3.

Looking ahead, Episcopal will welcome Fort Bend Christian Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Needville, they will venture away from home to challenge Fort Bend Dulles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
