Basketball Recap: Mifflinburg Wildcats vs. Montoursville Warriors
The Mifflinburg Wildcats waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins but they left with four. They had just enough and edged Montoursville out 64-61. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Montoursville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Shea Ulmer, who scored 14 points along with two steals. Quinn Ranck was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Mifflinburg's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Montoursville, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mifflinburg will take on the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Line Mountain will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 568th, while the Wildcats are ranked 278th). As for Montoursville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
