Baseball Game Preview: Benjamin Buccaneers vs. Palm Beach Gardens Gators

The Benjamin Buccaneers are taking a road trip to challenge the Palm Beach Gardens Gators at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Benjamin will be strutting in after a win while Palm Beach Gardens will be coming in after a loss.

Benjamin proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 33) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Jensen Beach 5-4. The victory continues a trend for the Buccaneers in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won three in a row.

Johnny Havlicek was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Palm Beach Gardens came up short against Seminole Ridge on Friday and fell 8-4.

Palm Beach Gardens saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tony Bieber, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Bieber has become a key player for Palm Beach Gardens: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three hits, but 4-7 otherwise.

Benjamin's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Palm Beach Gardens, they dropped their record down to 6-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Benjamin skirted past Palm Beach Gardens 8-7 in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Benjamin since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
