Softball Game Preview: Palmerton Blue Bombers vs. Jim Thorpe Olympians

The Palmerton Blue Bombers are taking a road trip to square off against the Jim Thorpe Olympians at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palmerton has given up an average of 6.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Palisades hit Palmerton with a seven-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Blue Bombers lost 11-4 to the Pirates. The Blue Bombers haven't had much luck with the Pirates recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Palmerton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was HAILEY BARRY, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Jim Thorpe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 4-1 to Northwestern Lehigh.

Jim Thorpe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Palmerton, they now have a losing record of 6-7.
