Baseball Recap: University Comes Up Short

University fell victim to IMG Academy Silver and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Ascenders, falling 9-0. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Titans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

University got a good showing from Nathan Tillis, who pitched 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, University saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Constantine, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for University and nudges their season record down to 7-7-2. As for IMG Academy Silver, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

University wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 9-2 loss against New Smyrna Beach on the 25th.
