Baseball Recap: McMinn County Gets the Win

The McMinn County Cherokees sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the North Florida Christian Eagles on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cherokees.

McMinn County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chase McDonald, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run. That's the most hits McDonald has posted since back in March of 2025. Cooper Wilson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

McMinn County's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for North Florida Christian, they dropped their record down to 4-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
