Softball Recap: Knox Central Takes a Loss

Knox Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-3 to the Lewis County Lions.

Knox Central saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Melton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Jayme Swafford was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2.

Knox Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Lewis County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Knox Central will venture away from home to face off against Campbell County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lewis County has already played their next match (against Anderson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
