Soccer Game Preview: Delta vs. Pettisville

The Delta Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Pettisville Blackbirds at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Pettisville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Delta, who comes in off a win.

Delta will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Thursday, then bounced right back against Lake on Saturday. The Panthers came out on top against the Flyers by a score of 5-3. Delta haven't had any issues with Lake recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Pettisville lost 9-2 to Swanton on Thursday.

Delta's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Pettisville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10-2.

Everything went Delta's way against Pettisville in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Delta made off with a 5-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
